PS 5 is big, really big. If the PS 4 sits quietly on the shelf, the fifth should be given more space. But there is a plus here – the console is very stylish, combines a futuristic backlit shape and productive content.

This is a real revolution in design – the current generation console is significantly different from the PS4. The PS 4 had a very noisy cooling system. PS5 does not make any loud sounds, you need to get close to the console to hear it. Download speed is a noticeable advantage. If you’ve just switched to a new console, you’ll notice a huge difference right away. The SSD really allows you to load everything almost instantly.

There is not so much memory – only 664 GB is available to the user. On the other hand, for those who need a small list of games of 10 titles, this is more than enough.

However, those who want to play different games need additional storage. You can use an external hard drive or an M.2 SSD.

The menu and the initial screen are very stylish, pleasant, simple. There are all sorts of useful features, everything is located as conveniently as possible. It is worth mentioning the graphics capabilities – 4K and HDR. Users will like the picture, although the graphical potential of the set-top box is clearly not yet fully disclosed.

Gamepad Sony PS5

Sony really wanted to emphasize that its new gamepad is a revolutionary solution. That’s why it was called DualSense. The gamepad vibrates in a very unusual way – for example, in racing on the track, you get the feeling that you are really moving on asphalt. Carefully approached the work of the triggers – if the character must make a significant effort, you will need to do it too.

The form factor is not satisfactory, the gamepad fits in the hands much more conveniently than its predecessors. It only discharges quickly enough, so it’s better to buy a Sony charging station.

PS5 Games

There are a lot of games – this is Ratchet & Clank: Through the Worlds, and Returnal, and Demon’s Souls, and many other projects. Of course, some of them can also be played on PS4. However, over time, the number of exclusive projects will increase, Sony will work to unlock the potential of the set-top box.

Is it worth taking

If you still haven’t owned a single PS, take the fifth one without a doubt. So you can play not only games with PS4, but also various novelties of the game industry. PS4 Pro owners can take their time – there are not so many exclusives on the fifth PlayStation yet. If you own a simple PS4, then the situation changes significantly – the performance of this console is significantly less. There is also no support for 4K. If you want to upgrade your TV to a modern one, then purchasing a PlayStation 5 will be a great solution.

In terms of version selection, those with a PS4 disc collection should consider picking up the disc drive version. The rest can take the model without it, so it will save.

It remains only to wait a bit for the moment when Sony will reveal the potential of the set-top box. Design, performance, backwards compatibility with PS4 make the console a worthy purchase.
